Ilha da Queimada Grande, or Snake Island as it is more affectionately called, is a 43-hectare island off the coast of Brazil, about 20 miles outside Sao Paulo. This island is so dangerous that the Brazilian government has made it impossible for anybody to enter it. Only scientists are permitted on this island, and only with a slew of unique approvals and requirements.

There are over 4,000 of them on the island, but according to local legend, there is one snake for each and every five square kilometers of territory. According to estimates, over 2,000 to 4,000 Golden Lancehead vipers are much more venomous than their mainland counterparts. This region of Andaman and Nicobar Islands (India) in the Bay of Bengal is one of the world’s most remote locations. This tiny, densely forested island in the Bay of Bengal is surrounded by a coral reef, making boat access difficult. This is one of the most restricted areas on the planet.

North Sentinel Island is home to a tiny indigenous community known as the Sentinelese. They have resisted all communication with other cultures and are one of the world’s last populations untouched by modern life. The tribe allegedly killed two fishers in 2008 after their boat strayed too short.

As a result, the Indian government announced the entire continent and its surrounding waters 9.26 kilometers from the island to be an exclusion zone, making it one of the prohibited locations that you are not permitted to enter.

This mysterious place is located in Japan. People consider it to be the most secret and holy place in Japan. The Ise Grand Shrine was built in 400 BC. Dedicated to the Sun God Amaterasu, the temple has never been accessed by anyone except a priest of the Japanese royal family in Oikhan.

This temple is rebuilt every 20 years. Historians believe that valuable and thousands of years old documents of the Japanese Empire are hidden here which are once unknown to the world. It is the only place on the personal or institutional level that has made it to the list of the most secret places in the world. Poveglia is a small island in the Venetian Lagoon in northern Italy, situated between Venice and Lido. The island is divided into two parts by a narrow canal. The island first appeared in the historical evidence in 421 and was inhabited until 1379, when the inhabitants fled warfare.

In 1776, the island was used as a quarantine station for all those suffering from the plague and other illnesses and then as a mental asylum for more than 100 years. The mental hospital was closed in 1968, and the island was abandoned. It’s no surprise, given that Poveglia has long been regarded as one of the most haunted places on the planet. China holds many mysterious places. To this day, the tomb of China’s first Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, holds many mysteries. Qin Shi Huang, China’s first Emperor, died in 210 BC and is buried deep beneath a mountain in Central China.

In 1974, a group of farmers digging wells near Xi’an, China, made an unintentional finding of the site. The Emperor’s burial complex, known as the Terracotta Army, is made up of clay replicas of his soldiers, relatives, servants, horses, and staff, as he is a firm believer in the afterlife. Even though 2000 statues have been identified to date, the total estimated number of figures would be around 8000.

The Chinese government may never allow the Emperor’s tomb to excavate, preferring to honor ancient burial rituals. Although visitors may see the Emperor’s clay army throughout a tour of the site, the old warrior’s main tomb may go undiscovered forever.

The Svalbard Global Seed Vault is a massive underground seed bank and storage facility built 400 feet into a mountainside on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen, about 800 miles north of the North Pole. The facility, which first opened its doors in February 2008, now houses about 840,000 samples of 4000 distinct species of seeds from all around the world. The seed bank’s aim will provide a safety net for unintentional loss of biodiversity in the event of a major regional or global disaster.

The government extremely restricted this place to access. Only the organizations or governments that ‘deposit’ seed variations in the vault for safekeeping have access to them.
